Unemployment rate drops in September in Stephens County! According to figures released last week by the Georgia Department of Labor, Stephens County's preliminary unemployment rate for September was 10.2 %. That is down four-tenths of a percent from the revised August rate of 10.6%. This September's preliminary rate is one-tenth of a percent higher than last September's revised rate of 10.1%.
