The annual Stephens County High School “Red Rage” pep rally will begin at 6:30 p.m. tonight at the football stadium. “The band will be performing,” said SCHS Varsity and JV football cheerleading coach Susan Carman. “Both the competition and the varsity and JV football cheerleaders will be cheering. We will have the JROTC here. We will be honoring some of those students that are in other fall sports, auxiliary, and band. Then, we will introduce the football team and just get everybody ready for a great football season.” “Red Rage” is earlier than normal. Carman said that the school system felt it would work well to combine “Red Rage” with the “Back to School Bash.” “It gets everyone here to the school for the ‘Back to School Bash’ and it just gets everyone excited, not just about football season, but starting back to school.” In case of rain, the pep rally will be held in the Currahee Arena at the high school.
