The Stephens County School System continues to post
above-average numbers on the state’s CRCT tests. The state of Georgia released system-level
results for the Criterion Referenced Competency Test late last week. Stephens County School Superintendent Sherrie
Whiten said that the results showed Stephens County students scoring above
state averages overall.
“We did really well on the CRCT,” said Whiten. “Our scores once again were strong and ahead of the state in every single subject area at every grade level. We were extremely pleased with this year’s scores.” According to Whiten, the scores tracked very closely to last year’s scores in most areas. She said the schools would now look at these scores more closely to build upon them moving forward.
