On Thursday July 5, 2012, Toccoa City hall, or the Historic
Post Office, was honored as the last historic downtown plaque recipient for
this year. Originally built as the post
office for the City of Toccoa in 1932, the building changed function to serve
as the municipal Building. The architecture
has been described as one-and-half story Neo-Classical Revival brick building
with a hipped roof.
