Stephens County celebrates the 70th anniversary
of Camp Toccoa. A ceremony to mark the
occasion took place at the site of what was Camp Toccoa during World War II on
Friday morning. Numerous speakers spoke about
the history of the camp and the men who trained there. Also, organizers talked about future plans
for the Camp Toccoa site. A color guard
from Fort Campbell also attended the event.
