The Stephens County Sheriff’s Office receives a special honor. At Tuesday’s meeting of the Stephens County Commission, the Sheriff’s Office was presented with its state certification by the Georgia Police Accreditation Coalition. Officials said this is something only a handful of sheriff’s offices in Georgia have accomplished. County Commissioners congratulated the Sheriff’s Office on the accomplishment.
