Main Street Toccoa will wrap up its Ida Cox Music Series this weekend in downtown Toccoa. According to Toccoa Main Street Events Coordinator Sharon Crosby, this year’s series has been quite successful. “One week we had to move it to the SchaeferCenter and one week we had to cancel it because of rain, but other than that we have had a very good turnout,” said Crosby. “We have been very, very encouraged with the support.” This year’s final show will take place Saturday night from 7 to 10 p.m. on Doyle Street in downtown Toccoa. Crosby said that the featured band is called One Seventy-Six and consists of many members of a group called the Velvet Truckstop that has appeared previously in Toccoa. “They play rock, but many people will remember them from last year,” said Crosby. “They were a very popular group, so we are glad to welcome them back again this year.” The concert is free for the public to attend.
