Toccoa City Commissioners move forward with the next phase
of the Streetscape Project. Wednesday,
the commission unanimously approved the design consultant for Phase Six of the
Streetscape Project in downtown Toccoa.
The commission also approved appointments to the Toccoa Downtown Development
Authority and the Toccoa Planning Commission, along with the first approval of

Former Stephens county High School basketball player Dale Davis
was inducted into the South Carolina Hall of Fame this week. Davis played at Clemson from 1987-1991 and
went on to play in the National Basketball Association. He was previously inducted into both the Clemson
Hall of Fame and the Clemson Ring of Honor.

Toccoa will once again celebrate National Train Day this
weekend. National Train Day is Saturday
and the city will once again hold festivities to mark the occasion. Main Street Toccoa Events coordinator Sharon
Crosby said that residents are encouraged to gather early Saturday morning at
the historic train depot in downtown Toccoa.
AM 630 WNEG will broadcast live as the train arrives at 6:15 a.m.
